House Child and Family Therapy Center

Greetings!
Outside of my role as a therapist, I’m also a mom of 3 who understands both the beauty and complexity of family life. I value authenticity, connection, and creating space for people to feel truly seen and supported.
I enjoy spending time outdoors and appreciate the grounding and restorative benefits of nature. Whether I’m running, gardening, exploring outside with my children, or simply slowing down enough to notice the season I’m in, I believe deeply in the importance of balance, movement, and caring for our nervous systems in everyday life.
These personal values naturally shape my work as a therapist. I believe healing often happens not only in the therapy room, but also through relationships, play, rest, community, meaningful connection, and the small moments that help us feel more regulated and fully ourselves.
My Approach to Therapy
Play therapy is my primary specialty and foundational lens, particularly Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT). Children naturally communicate through play, and therapy can provide them with a safe and supportive space to process experiences, express emotions, build confidence, and strengthen emotional regulation.
At the same time, I recognize that every individual and family is unique. Depending on the needs of the client, I thoughtfully integrate both non-directive and directive approaches, including:
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
-
Strengths-based approaches
-
Ego supportive therapy
-
Psychoeducation
-
Parent coaching and consultation
-
Trauma-informed approaches
-
EMDR-informed interventions
My work is collaborative, developmentally informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and rooted in respect for the whole person.
Supporting the Whole Child and Family
I believe mental health cannot be separated from the larger context of a person’s life. Emotional well-being is deeply connected to nervous system regulation, relationships, movement, sleep, environment, stress, and daily rhythms.
Part of my work with families often includes education and support around:
-
Nervous system regulation
-
The mind-body connection
-
Anxiety and stress responses
-
Sleep hygiene
-
Healthy routines
-
Screen time and technology balance
-
Emotional development
-
Movement and outdoor time
-
Parenting strategies rooted in connection and research
I frequently help parents better understand concepts such as “lid flipping,” emotional overwhelm, and regulation through accessible neurobiology and attachment-informed education. Many parents come to therapy feeling exhausted, worried, or unsure of what to do next. I strive to create a space where parents feel supported rather than judged. I often tell parents:“We don’t know what we don’t know.”
Parenting today comes with enormous pressures, changing expectations, and an overwhelming amount of information. Therapy can become a place to slow down, gain clarity, and build tools that truly fit your child and family.
What You Can Expect
My goal is to provide a space where clients and families feel:
-
Safe
-
Respected
-
Understood
-
Supported
-
Empowered
Therapy is not about “fixing” a child or assigning blame. Instead, we work together to better understand what may be underneath behaviors, emotional reactions, or struggles and to build stronger pathways toward connection, resilience, and well-being.
I consider it a privilege to walk alongside individuals and families during vulnerable seasons of life. I deeply value the trust involved in inviting someone into your story and your family system.
Thank you for considering me as part of your journey.
